Nadim Woolgar is a talented Bolivian Canadian guitarist and composer with a deep passion for the vibrant music of South America. Nadim is dedicated to collaborating with artists who bring their unique twist to traditional music, enriching the cultural tapestry with fresh and personal interpretations.
Nadim’s musical interests span from traditional South American genres to Latin and progressive rock, showcasing his versatile talent.
Currently, Nadim plays lead and rhythm electric guitar with Precipice, electric bass with Tambore Fusion, and nylon string guitar with Mai Garnica. Their diverse performance experience highlights his ability to adapt and excel in various musical styles.
Nadim’s formal training includes studying classical guitar at the Vancouver Academy of Music under the tutelage of Hanh Nguyen and continuing their studies at VCC with Adrian Verdejo. Naidm also expands their repertoire by studying the charango with René Hugo Sánchez, further deepening his connection to South American music.
At Mermi Music Academy, Nadim brings their rich cultural background and extensive performance experience to their teaching.
